| Cost Recovery |
| |
|
The RPost Registered Email®
service includes cost recovery features that allow the sender to assign a
"client or matter" code to each Registered Email® message sent.
Common
charge back amounts:
Common cost recovery
charges range from $0.75 - $3.00 per Registered E-mail®
unit.

|
Where to
insert the Client Code:
The sender is prompted
with a dialogue box when the “Send Registered”
button is pressed. There is an optional field titled, “Client Code” on
the pop-up. The code can be used for document management or
cost recovery (see below).

|
Client Code
location on the Registered Receipt™:
The sender can insert any
numbers, letters or symbols into this field and the code is
automatically inserted onto the Registered Receipt™ (see
snapshot of the transmission section on the Registered
Receipt™ below).

Client Code
and the monthly usage reports:
The sender of a
Registered E-mail®
will receive a monthly usage report documenting their usage
for the previous month. On this monthly usage report, there
is a Client Code section summarizing each code and the
number of Registered E-mail®
units associated with it (see below).
In addition to the sender
receiving a usage report with the Client Code, RPost®
is also able to send the billing departments of a company a
data file summarizing the Client Codes which can be
integrated into their billing software. The sender is then
able to bill their clients the number of Registered E-mail®
units times the cost they would like to charge the client.

Manage the
Client Codes:
There are three ways to
manage the client code list.
1.
The sender of a
Registered E-mail®
message is able to manage their Client Codes from their
inbox by clicking on Tools then Options and selecting the
Registered E-mail®
tab and pressing “Edit List” (see below).
|
|
|
 |
|
|
|
2.
The Client Code data
can be loaded automatically from a centrally located and nightly updated file on
the server. This ensures that the Client Code data is
current and available. Each user can then select the
client code to use in each Registered E-mail®
from the automatically Client Code updated list. |
|
|
 |
|
|
|
3.
The client code list can be accessed on the local machine of
the sender by opening the flat text Comma Separated Values
file titled “clientcodes” which is stored in the “My
Documents” section of the hard drive.
