"RPost AI Labs is an innovation engine, not simply a research organization," said Zafar Khan, CEO of RPost. "While cyber super intelligence is a major focus, our AI research extends across intelligent content and digital workflows. We connect innovation directly with customer challenges, interactive workflow models, and continuous commercial innovation."
"What is particularly exciting for our customers is the opportunity to work directly with some of our most AI-forward engineers and researchers," Khan continued. "Instead of spending months and significant consulting budgets studying a business challenge, we collaborate on practical solutions to showcase working solutions in weeks. It's about solving real operational problems and implementing at speed, not producing consulting reports."
RPost AI Labs operates across three principal research areas:
RPost has been recognized by leading analyst firms including Gartner Research, IDC, Aragon Research, Frost and Sullivan, among others, as world leading for its email security, e-signature workflows, enterprise content, and preemptive cybersecurity technologies (see analyst accolades).
One current customer-collaborative initiative in RPost AI Labs explores an emerging challenge: how to stop cybercriminals and malicious AI agents from gathering intelligence through legitimate business content already shared with third parties.
As cybersecurity companies introduce AI kill switches to contain rogue agents, RPost is advancing a complementary approach: a kill switch for the information that adversaries are using to prepare attacks beyond the enterprise's endpoints, before the attacker AI agents can organize.
"Think of it as a kill switch for cybercriminal reconnaissance," said Khan. "An attacker or malicious AI agent may already be inside a supplier's compromised account, studying a legitimate business conversation. The customer will not have control of that third party's endpoint or AI agent, but we can detect suspicious activity around protected content and cut off further access agentically. The objective is to deny the intelligence needed for the attack before the strike."
Another current RPost AI Labs initiative combines AI-powered data discovery and classification with RDocs™ intelligent document controls and AI Auto-Lock™ technology.
This initiative centers on specialized AI models that can identify sensitive content, apply protection policies, and trigger automatic restrictions when documents appear to be misdirected, accessed by unauthorized parties, or exposed through insider threats and cybercriminal activity.
For example, a confidential document mistakenly emailed to an unintended recipient could be automatically classified, protected, and remotely locked when policy or suspicious access signals indicate elevated risk. Similarly, protected documents appearing in compromised third-party environments could have further access revoked before additional exposure.
"Traditional data loss prevention tries to stop sensitive information before it leaves," Khan explained. "But information must travel for business to happen. Our innovation focus is making the protection travel with the information. Combine intelligent classification with the ability to remotely kill access; we can help customers stop further exposure even after a document has left their systems."
RPost AI Labs draws on RPost's established technologies across RMail®, RSign®, RDocs™, RForms™, RPostONE™, and RAPTOR AI, providing a foundation for customer-driven innovation without requiring every new solution to begin from scratch.
The Labs' model is to engage with customers on defined operational challenges, rapidly develop working models of connectors to our time-tested, award winning platform products, innovate and enhance rapidly when advantageous for customers, all to identify opportunities for clients.
"AI innovation should not be reserved for organizations with enormous research budgets," concluded Khan. "Our goal is to give enterprise customers direct access to advanced AI engineering and practical experimentation, while continuously inventing new ways to preempt threats, protect information, and automate business. That is how research becomes meaningful innovation for our customers."
