Enterprise leaders discussing the shift in eSignature strategy from Gartner insights to 2026

Why Enterprises Are Rethinking eSign In 2026?

Safer. Faster. 50%+ Savings: The eSign Pivot CXOs Made at Gartner.

Hi, Armand here, RPost’s intelligent content product evangelist armadillo. The first week of 2026 is almost already in the books (yeah, time is doing that thing again), and I’ve been thinking back to last year’s Gartner conferences.

Here’s what kept happening at Gartner conferences in 2025: enterprise leaders would walk up thinking they were there to talk “AI.” Within minutes, the conversation shifted to something far more tangible - eSignatures. Because once you’re modernizing workflows, signatures are the choke point everyone notices (and the budget line everyone side-eyes!).

What Enterprises Were Really Worried About

Across Gartner’s booth chats, three themes showed up on repeat:

  1. Safety (aka: “If this goes sideways, I’m on the hook.”)

They weren’t asking for “basic signing.” They were asking how an eSignature flow holds up when the stakes are high - security, auditability, and proof you can defend later.

  1. Efficiency (aka: “Why does a ‘simple signature’ take a week?”)

The friction was never just the signature. It was the back-and-forth, the handoffs, the compliance checks, the “who has the latest version,” and the endless follow-ups. They wanted workflows that move fast and leave trails.

  1. Switching (aka: “We’re paying premium prices for… what, exactly?”)

Vendor switching isn’t fun. Enterprises know that. But when they feel overcharged and underserved, the question shifts from “should we switch” to “how fast can we switch without breaking anything?” And once pricing enters the chat, things get very direct!

That’s the setup. Then comes the pivot - natural, not forced.

The Seamless Shift to Smarter eSign

Once the discussion moved from “AI is changing everything” to “okay, show me how we sign things securely and faster,” RSign fits like the next logical step.

Here’s what landed with CXOs:

  • Security built into the signing flow: RSign embeds encryption and metadata intelligence directly into the eSign process.
  • Workflows: AI enhancements help automate steps and flag anomalies.
  • Works with enterprise systems: RSign integrates with platforms enterprises already run on, supporting secure and compliant document workflows.

Then the conversation got even more specific, as to how RSign shows up in real enterprise work:

  • Workflow automation for teams that live in approvals (legal, finance, healthcare, and more)
  • Document intelligence that helps spot risk and support compliance
  • Audit-ready logs + metadata aligned with frameworks like GDPR and HIPAA
  • Integrations with tools like Salesforce, Zapier, and more

And then people take notice when we claim, “In 15 minutes, we can save you 50% or more on your eSignatures!” And that’s when the mood flips from interest to intent - “We need to switch.”

Those Gartner chats made one thing clear: enterprise eSign isn’t a standalone tool anymore. It’s part of a bigger promise: “secure execution, faster cycles, trackable compliance, and no budget drama.”

Rocky (my best buddy and RPost’s cybersecurity product evangelist) can keep chasing threats at machine speed. I’ll keep doing my part: making sure signatures and workflows don’t become the weakest link or the most overpriced one!

We’re only a click away if you wish to see RSign in action.
