RPost today announces the release of its RAPTOR™ AI Threat and AI Observability Module, a new email security capability designed to help organizations identify and manage AI-related data protection risks in business communications.
The module addresses a growing enterprise challenge - employees are increasingly using AI tools to summarize emails, rewrite responses, analyze attachments, prepare meeting notes, review contracts, translate messages, and draft customer or vendor communications. Some of this use is approved and governed; some is not. In many cases, strategic, confidential, legal, financial, customer, or operational content may be routed to AI systems without the visibility normally expected from enterprise security and compliance programs.
While many organizations are implementing AI governance controls around web applications, APIs, browser uploads, and copy/paste activity, email remains a separate and important exposure point. Business content often moves through email before and after it is used with AI. A confidential email thread may be summarized by an AI tool, an attachment may be analyzed by an AI assistant, an AI-generated summary may be forwarded to colleagues, or an external AI workflow may be included as a recipient or link. These events may not be visible if controls focus only on the browser or application layer.

For example, an outbound message to an unapproved AI assistant containing a financial attachment can be blocked or routed for review, a legal email referencing use of a consumer AI tool can be logged for compliance, a customer contract summary identified as AI-generated can be flagged before redistribution, or a message containing hidden AI-directed instructions can be isolated before an assistant summarizes it.
