Hi, I’m Rocky the Raptor, RPost’s newest product evangelist. My focus is to help explain the ever-evolving AI tech sector, more specifically, AI infused into cybersecurity, messaging, documents, and workflow automation products. My colleague, Armand the armadillo, another RPost product evangelist, will continue to educate on content products to optimize productivity.
I am humbled that at this prestigious Saudi-US Investment Conference with so much talk about AI innovation, the organizers thought to include me among the prestigious speakers, with my anthropomorphic raptor demeanor.
I’m pleased to be with RPost, the first tech company to bring the concept of proactively anticipating and then actively preventing cybercrimes before the attack inception, with RPost initial introduction of RPost’s PRE-Crime™ solution announced in 2022.
The term “Precrime” was originally associated with policing humans in relation to traditional crimes in the infamous Philip Dick 1956 sci-fi short story, “The Minority Report” where it was the name of a future police agency tasked with identifying people who have not started to but will commit crimes in the very near future. Hollywood sensationalized the concept in a 2002 Tom Cruise movie bearing the same name. Inspired by this sci-fi scenario, RPost transposed this concept to cybersecurity. Gartner has now created this Precrime preemptive cybersecurity category.
To be clear, this Precrime cybersecurity category centers on seeing the buildup of a cybercrime from afar – before it actually occurs. This is offensive security. This is distinct from technologies that monitor networks for intrusions that are occurring, or monitor inbound attacks that are occurring (spam, virus, malware, ransomware lures) to prevent the ongoing attack from concluding successfully. These are defensive.
Offensive security is looking afar, outside of one’s endpoints, into the ecosystem of third parties, less resources advisors, consultants, contractors, suppliers, lawyers, etc. that may have compromised email accounts or devices that are (unknowingly) funneling contextual information to cybercriminals afar, who then can use that information to build their attack plan.
Offensive security is also preemptively countering insider threats and leaks, psychologically deterring malicious threat actors from leaking. Or, preemptively preparing content to be able to un-leak AI agentically ahead of a potential future leak.
Offensive security will see these attacks in the cybercriminal, threat actor, or malicious insider planning phase, before the strike. The best defense is a strong offense, as I like to say in my raptor way.
Why me? My raptor family (falcons, hawks, eagles…) are known for having the best eyesight and being hyper-carnivorous. Raptors can see the unseen, can hunt threats from afar.
Personally, in my raptor-way, I crave eating the live juicy bait off phishing hooks that would otherwise lure human workers as fresh prey. And this is what RPost’s RAPTOR™ AI technology is all about.
I am pleased to join the RPost team, as RPost, a global leader in intelligent content security, recently announced it had been recognized by Gartner Research, Inc. in two recent Emerging Tech Impact Radar reports as a representative vendor, early adopter, visionary, and leading technology innovator for its PRE-Crime™ preemptive cybersecurity solutions that center on its RAPTOR™ AI technology (yes, I influenced RPost in naming this newest and coolest AI tech that they have invented after my kind; it was a contract stipulation 😉). RPost will showcase these AI infused cybersecurity technologies in the Threat Intelligence Village (Stand 460) and as a Theater Speaker on June 9 and 10 at the Gartner Security & Risk Management Summit in Washington National Harbor. I’ll be there with some cool RAPTOR™ AI gear.
As our RPost CEO recently stated, “Our RAPTOR™ AI agents, implemented in our PRE-Crime solution, then automatically engage and agentically un-leak leaks before the cybercriminals can use contextual information otherwise seen to build their attack strategies. This unique approach of pre-emptively thwarting a crime in progress after the hook is in, before the steal, is effective in getting ahead of risk. This is an example of how RPost AI agent powered-up PRE-Crime™ cybersecurity can save the day.”
You’ll be hearing more from me in this exciting new era of AI-infused cybersecurity 😊 combating AI-powered-up cybercriminals. Stay tuned.
RPost’s PRE-Crime pre-emptive cybercrime solutions were recognized in the Gartner Emerging Tech Impact Radar: 2025 [23 January 2025] and Emerging Tech Impact Radar: Preemptive Cybersecurity [25 November 2024] reports.
