If your business needs to use encrypted e-mail or provide legal proof of delivery or electronic signatures, you may already be familiar with RPost, the company that invented registered e-mail. Not only has RPost recently upgraded its electronic signature service with court-admissible document, contract, and multi-party signoff tools that plug into Salesforce.com, Outlook, Lotus, web-mail and other applications, it also just launched a cloud service.
The RPost Cloud platform lets developers add to their software platforms legally valid proof and non-repudiation, security and compliance, legal electronic signature and authentication, and collaboration and deliverability services.
For example, a developer creating an iPhone app for physicians could use the RPost platform to fulfill HIPAA or other data privacy requirements. Using RPost’s application programming interface (API), the developer could automate messages from the iPhone app to the RPost Cloud, which would re-package the message to route as an encrypted email message to the recipient, patient or physician. The use of the RPost Cloud would be invisible to the sender and the recipient would only know that they received a message with appropriate data privacy.
RPost services are designed for industries such as insurance, financial services, legal, telecommunications, manufacturing and real estate, where the speed of contract execution, encryption or court admissible e-mail records may be a business critical requirement.
