Switch to RPost: Save 50% on eSignatures in 15 Minutes & Strengthen Email Encryption Against Cybercrime

Shohei Ohtani & RPost Enter the Los Angeles Elite (Bigger than Hollywood)

Armand here. As RPost’s armadillo product evangelist, I couldn’t help thinking from my sporty side, about the best in baseball, and from my techy side, about the best in tech, in the same mental synapse. I’ll explain.

You may have heard that RPost, with its main office in Los Angeles, has entered the elite in terms of tech company leaders receiving worldwide accolades. Think IDC research naming RPost a worldwide leader in eSignatures (chart), Aragon Research naming RPost a worldwide leader in digital transaction management (chart) and innovator in enterprise content platforms (news), to name a few of RPost’s recent honors.

In fact, many are switching to RPost, as they know, in 15 minutes of discussion, they can save 50% or more on their eSignatures, while having more elegant email encryption, and the ability to quash cybercriminal lures.

But there is more going on with these newly minted Los Angeles elite.

In the recent Major League Baseball (MLB) game, the Los Angeles Dodgers vs Miami Marlins, Shohei Ohtani was crowned with Los Angeles elite status, making history. He achieved the first ever 50/50 season in baseball history. More on this in a minute.

First, who is Shohei Ohtani for those not caught up on the latest in baseball? Ohtani is perhaps the most famous baseball player in Japan, recruited from Japan first to the Anaheim Angels and recently signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers with a $700 million 10-year contract.

While he had some infamy related to the size of the contract and his supposed Hollywood-esque handler gambling some of this money away, Ohtani has been one of the best, if not the best player in baseball for a couple years now, usually leading the MLB in both pitching AND hitting (prior to Ohtani, this was unheard of).

This year due to a pitching injury, he was confined to hit. So, now imagine a baseball player who is already one of the best pitchers and hitters in baseball, fully focused on hitting. What does he do? He has already beaten his home run total over all other years by almost 10 home runs. But he didn’t stop there, he has topped 50 stolen bases – already beating his stolen base record by 29.

Why is this truly legendary? Most pitchers cannot hit or run fast. Most home run hitters are hefty and not so fast. Think now, he is able to be arguably the best in the world today at pitching, hitting AND stealing bases? What? And more. He is a leader, he is the heart of the Los Angeles Dodgers team (in my humble armadillo opinion).

These numbers have definitely helped the Dodgers build to have the best record in Major League Baseball and Ohtani shows no signs of slowing down. In this recent Dodgers vs. Marlins game, Ohtani managed to achieve this 50/50 milestone of hitting 50 home runs and stealing 50 bases, so far for this season. With a final score of 20-4, Ohtani ended the game with 3 home runs, 2 stolen bases, and a total of 10 RBIs (amazing)!

This is the first season Ohtani has played for the Dodgers and he is creating an unusual tourism bubble; Japanese fans are planning business trips to Los Angeles timed around Los Angeles Dodgers games, to see this once-in-an-era Japanese bastion of athleticism.

Good news for our RPost customers and partners in Tokyo (our newest RPost international office location).
